I first came to Cambridge as a university student, and returned here after an eventful life working internationally for the United Nations as an advisor on elections administration.
I qualified as a Green Badge guide, and love entertaining our visitors with fascinating stories about the history of Cambridge and its university, from its medieval beginnings through its time as a centre of the Reformation to its modern role as ‘Silicon Fen’.
However, I also delight in relating the history of women in Cambridge and their long struggle for equality. Then there are stories about the centuries-old activities of Cambridge spies, and revelations of the remarkable public art scattered throughout the city. And on dark evenings I relish telling tales of ghosts and the macabre to those brave enough to explore the city’s spooky alleyways ……
Why not join me on a walk through our beautiful city and its spectacular colleges?
