I am passionate about the history of scientific discovery as well as current developments in Cambridge, where old and new go hand in hand! I am similarly fascinated by the story of the town and its people – not only of the ‘gown’ (the University). I’ve been guiding since 2010, and also teaching Maths – my first degree was in Physics.

Some of my favourite themes are science and famous scientists, history and architecture, medieval and Victorian Cambridge, ghosts and haunted places, visual art and the Fitzwilliam Museum, and public art. I’ve designed various tours, such as medical advances, Cambridge off the trodden path, ‘Cambridge Zoo’ (for parents with children, spotting animals on buildings) and a Christmas walk. I’ve also run Treasure Hunts for families and as a work team-building activity.

My other hobbies include travelling, photography, poetry, and drama. I also volunteer, eg helping coordinate English classes for Ukrainians in Cambridge.
