With over 30 years working in television, mainly in the BBC’s science department, I am natural storyteller. I’ve spent decades putting words into the mouths of presenters like Jeremy Clarkson, Chris Tarrant, Peter Snow, Maggie Philbin and many more.
Stepping out from behind the camera I now like nothing more than telling the stories of Cambridge. Bringing the city alive with both rigour and humour, and showing how it has shaped the world in which we live.
As well as the Highlights of Cambridge focusing on the great colleges, I also offer more specialised tours such as Town with a Bit of Gown, and Charles Darwin in Cambridge. I’m also an experienced punt guide so I can offer a tour of the Backs, with a little more knowledge than most on the river.
